Ship Owning & Chartering

Commercial decisions informed by the asset.

Disciplined vessel evaluation and chartering development, connecting employment prospects with condition and lifecycle expenditure.

Service Overview

Davion Marine’s asset strategy connects commercial opportunity with technical reality. We intend to evaluate vessel ownership and chartering opportunities through a defined process covering employment, condition, maintenance liabilities, operating costs and funding requirements. This direction complements the owner-support service; it does not represent a published register of owned vessels or a commitment to purchase an asset.

Capabilities

Areas of work

01

Vessel and trade screening

Assess vessel capacity, cargo suitability, port access, equipment and trading requirements. The existing development plan includes selective dry-bulk opportunities such as Handysize and Supramax where the commercial and technical case is supportable.

02

Acquisition coordination

Connect condition findings, survey history, repair estimates and delivery requirements with the owner’s acquisition review. Identify unresolved issues and the independent advice needed before a decision.

03

Chartering assessment

Consider proposed time-charter, voyage-charter or cargo arrangements against operating capability, counterparties, voyage costs and contractual responsibilities. Review assumptions with the relevant commercial and legal specialists.

04

Lifecycle expenditure

Consider acquisition, operation, maintenance, docking, upgrades and eventual disposal together. Keep near-term cash needs distinct from longer-term expenditure and clearly identify estimates that require further evidence.

05

Operational and commercial alignment

Coordinate technical readiness, vessel availability and proposed employment. Reporting should identify where repair plans, equipment requirements or project schedules affect the commercial decision.

06

Selective growth

Evaluate opportunities in the context of resources, risk and the development plan. The proposed regional focus includes India, Southeast Asia and selected Middle Eastern and coastal opportunities.

Questions from owners and operators

Which vessel sectors are in focus?

The service focus covers bulk carriers, oil tankers, container vessels and offshore assets. Each assignment is assessed against its technical requirements, operating profile and the available delivery resources.

Can an owner discuss an acquisition without full management?

Yes. Acquisition coordination and technical review can be scoped separately through Owner Support Services or Marine Technical Services.
